Yes, I am, Peter. I recorded the final video today (ua-cam.com/video/ybeDSVCQ3as/v-deo.html) which sums up my experience. It's not perfect, does lock up under heavy loads occasionally (unfortunately), but the recovery time is very quick and thus - isn't as irritating as WIndows. See part 3 for all details. I'd still recommend it.

Thanks for the answer! I'll watch the new vid. Chromeboxes seems like a good solution for just browsing a web, without the need of serious work. I'd opt for a chroembook just for browsing, watching movies and stuff like this, as a secondary option next to my Win10 PC. Unfortunately here, in Hungary, chromebooks are almost non-existing, and those that can be bought, are expensive (for their price I could find a usable brand new, win10 pre-installed notebook!) I don't know if chromeboxes will be around in the next couple of years, but I would definitely get one for my future-kids for watching youtube, playing something and so on. Thanks for the videos and for your time!

In the USA they're pretty cheap, used to be a lot cheaper than Windows boxes, not just somewhat cheaper, but still cheaper. They're not going anywhere - Chromebooks are taking over in our schools and people don't have any hesitations these days about buying them. Also they're getting more powerful, and being from Google - they aren't going away any time soon. You can do a lot more with them than just watch movies and such, although for that - you might consider Chromebit (which is ChromeOS on a USB stick essentially), which costs about $85 here in the USA, it plugs into HDMI slot on your TV and you're ready to go (although probably getting a bluetooth keyboard/mouse would help, but those are cheap too).

Yeah I had read about the chromebook-situation in the USA, and I find it really cool - I mean, students has internet access and ability to learn with these machines. In my country unfortunately there is nothing like this. In here it feels like that we are still living around the 1850s.. Even the IT education tops out with using MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint in the most schools, and there is nothing about security, privacy, web-tools, anything.. If you want to know more, you'll have to learn everything by yourself, or go to an IT school or course. It's really sad. I would buy a chromebook as a secondary, because I have no second monitor (or TV, neither my fiancé or I watching TV, since everything is avaible online, mostly without ads, and whene we want to watch it), and when the computer is occupied by my fiancé, I coud do my thing on a bigger screen than my phone. But I find the chromebit thingy useful too, no need for the computer just watching netflix, streaming music while doing the chores, etc.. Google creates awesome stuff.

I'm still using it, but not for everything. Trying to do development on it proved too much for it. There aren't robust enough IDE tools, nor does the box perform well after putting some serious load on it. At least the version I used isn't ready for prime time, IMHO. I had to get into a complex project, which a) required tools that aren't available in Chrome and b) required much better performance, so I wound up buying a new Windows box specifically for that reason, and mostly use it for development and such. I don't hate Windows quite as much, due to the fact that I got a high end gaming box, with tons of RAM, SSD, high end graphics cards etc., so the box moves as I was hoping. Non-speed related Windows annoyances are still there, of course... nature of the beast. As soon as Chrome matures in terms of performance and apps - I'll be happy to jump back to it. I do like it far better in most respects, but it needs to be better in all respects and currently - it isn't.
